AuPair / Tutors / Homeschool Moms and Grannies

It takes a village to raise a child. Unfortunately, we don’t always have a team who has the knowledge needed to bring out the best in our children. Let us help you equip your village with the skills needed to ensure that the person who spends the most time with your child has a positive influence.

Forming good habits for personal hygiene and responsibility and a creating an environment that fosters a love of learning is a matter of supporting our children as they form their own good habits and learn to become more self-reliant while accepting responsibility.

Let us help you form a roadmap of what your village needs some guidance on, supporting your beliefs and morals by establishing habits supported by the adult with the most time to offer great influence.

Teachers

“Be the 1 teacher that a child remembers”

We can offer the skills to be able to not only identify when a child may be struggling but offer the ability to assist them with simple daily exercises and activities to overcome so many of the difficulties witnessed by teachers.

Let us give you the tools to help the anxious children in your class by calming their nervous system, can accommodate the children with hyperactivity and restlessness and offer an overly emotional child the tools to cope when they are feeling overwhelmed.

Having the tools to truly help all the children in your class achieve calm and focus will allow you to have more fun in class, while getting concepts and “work” are done much more efficiently and effectively.

Don’t let this year be another year with a single child falls through the cracks. You and your learners deserve the best possible chance at a great year of learning.

Domestic Training

Many of us in South Africa are grateful for the privilege of being able to offer our children the stability of a helper who offers our children security when parents are not at home. With this privilege comes the responsibility of ensuring that this helper is properly trained and equipped to care for our children. Beyond first aid and just keeping our children alive, we can equip them to support the moral lessons we want our children to follow, they can offer consistent habits that are required to build resilience and independence in children so that when they are faced with a challenge, they are able to think creatively, problem solve and build confidence through their independence.

What an incredible skill to offer our children while investing in our helpers who make life so much easier for us.

EQ / Growth Mindset Training

Our children are in an environment that expects so much more of them than a child should need to be concerned with. Their ability to understand the challenges they are faced with, calculate solutions to the problems and then regulate the big emotions tat they feel is sometimes well beyond what we have equipped them with.

Have you prepared your child for the day that they may be bullied, will they have the strength the resist peer pressure and say no when their friends include them in bad decisions?

The biggest gift that we can give our children, is the confidence to know what they want, permission to say no when they feel uncomfortable and the self-worth to stand up for themselves when it matters most.

Adversity and challenges are opportunities to learn and grow. It does however require some practice and a focus on growth mindset to really make the most of difficult situations.

Let us guide you through this process of making your children stronger and more capable.

Study Skills

Offering weekly one-hour sessions where will work through the Emotional, Social and Executive Functioning Skills to empower young adults.

Through Brain Dominance Profiling and Personality Testing, we help your child learn more about themselves. We will explore their own individual strengths and the areas where they may need more practice.

Once we have established how their brain and body work most efficiently, we then begin building the skills needed to tackle the process of organising and taking in new information, retaining the information, and dealing with assessments and exams.

The journey is not yet complete. Once they have these skills, we teach them how to effectively apply these the tools through include Goal Setting, Planning Skills and Flexible thinking for Personal Development.

When the course is completed, our learners will have the foundation of “learn how to learn”. In an engaging and experiential format and have real strategies to improve how they perform as a learner.

Sex Education

It is such a shock to a parent when we first learn just how early we need to talk to our children about the changes that occur in their bodies. What this means is that we also need to have the Birds and Bees chat even earlier.

“Most young girls will have their first periods anywhere from 9-16 years”

Most parents really struggle with how to introduce the topic and cover the necessary information without either a parent or a child feeling intensely uncomfortable.

Boys and Girls classes will offer an introduction to Sex Education where they have the opportunity to ask questions and express opinions in a safe environment with trained professional who have accurate information to offer.

The course will cover:

  • What expect as your body changes and why these happen?
  • How to deal with these changes in an appropriate and hygienic way
  • The biological process of puberty
  • The emotional changes and coping mechanisms
  • How does the opposite change?
  • Importance of movement and nutrition as they get older
  • How to deal with tough social situations such as dating, drugs, sex, body image, bullying and the right to say NO!

Don’t wait for your children to get misinformed by friends or older siblings, empower your children with accurate information and self confidence to make good choices.
